Commercial Games That "Take A While To Get Good"
- Final Fantasy XIII might take until Chapter 11 to really open up. But even before that, it's still not until Chapter 4 or 5 that you see battles with any real strategy.
- Dragon Quest VII takes over an hour before you see battles at all and puts you in a long series of fetch quests and puzzles before then. The 3DS version rewrites the intro entirely but it's still a good half hour before you see any action.
- Kind of situational, but Cube's chapter in Live a Live has only one battle at the very end. So if you do his chapter first, it can be a slog.

Chapter 2 complete. Golly gee!

Keep up the great work! I wish that I was this organized. I'm getting better at it, but I still feel like I create things in a jumbled manner. My mind wanders once I get worn out on a specific task, then I start to get overwhelmed. Anyway, I can't wait to see more updates as they come out!
Thank you! I'm going to keep at it!
And yeah this is pretty much exactly why I decided to tackle it one chapter at a time. I just can't sit down and say "Okay, I am going to do this one specific thing for the next X hours" and it still largely boils down to what part of the game I feel like working on. At least this way I can limit that to the scope of one chapter and the contents within.
Self-discipline is tough, my dudes.
